Terms of Use

Last updated 5 September 2026

The rules for using Pillo. Some apply to everyone, and some apply only to job seekers or only to employers, which is marked where it matters.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating a Pillo account or using the Pillo app or website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Your account

You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself.

You must be old enough to work in your country to use Pillo as a job seeker.

One person, one account. Do not create an account on someone else’s behalf or pretend to be someone you are not.

3. For job seekers

Applying for a role on Pillo is free and always will be.

What you put in your profile and send in an application must be true. Employers make hiring decisions on it.

When you apply, the employer receives your application and can contact you. We cannot recall an application once it has been sent.

Pillo does not employ you, does not guarantee you will hear back, and is not a party to anything you agree with an employer.

4. For employers

You may only post roles that genuinely exist and that you are authorised to advertise.

Your company must be verified by us before a posting can go live. Verification is our check that you are who you say you are, and we may refuse or withdraw it.

You must not post a role that discriminates unlawfully, that asks a candidate for payment, or that is a front for something other than employment.

Candidate information you receive through Pillo is for assessing that candidate for that role. Do not sell it, do not add it to a marketing list, and handle it in line with the data protection law that applies to you.

5. Payment

Employers pay for job postings. Prices are shown before you pay and are charged through Stripe.

A posting goes live when payment is confirmed and the company is verified. If a payment succeeds but the company is not verified, the posting stays unpublished until it is.

Refunds are handled case by case. Write to us and we will deal with it fairly.

6. What you may not do

Do not use Pillo to break the law, to harass anyone, or to post anything false, misleading or fraudulent.

Do not attempt to break into accounts that are not yours, scrape the service automatically, or interfere with how it runs.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of this.

7. Content you upload

What you upload stays yours. You give us permission to store it and to show it to the people the service is meant to show it to, which for an application means the employer you applied to.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep Pillo running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of faults.

Pillo connects job seekers and employers. We do not vet every posting or every candidate beyond the verification we describe, we are not responsible for hiring decisions, and we are not a party to any employment relationship formed through the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app or by writing to us.

We may close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you about significant changes rather than expecting you to check.
